In the unlikely event of a refrigerant leak, the indoor unit will display an “EC” error code and the system will turn itself off. This protects the compressor from high temperature damage due to a low refrigerant condition. If this condition occurs, a qualified service technician must be called to diagnose and take corrective action.
In the Cooling Mode, this function allows the air conditioner to gradually increase the temperature setpoint by up to 4 degrees during the first 2 hours of being activated and then will maintain the temperature for the next 5 hours. Once the cycle is complete, the unit automatically turns itself off. In the Heating Mode, this function allows the unit to gradually decrease the temperature setpoint up to 4 degrees during the first 2 hours of being activated and then will maintain the temperature for the next 5 hours.
